Entry Level IT Technician

Local employer has an immediate opening for an Entry Level IT Technician to work primarily with initial setup and shipping/receiving of computer items. Working hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with a starting pay of $12/hr. This is a permanent position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Shipping and receiving of computer equipment. Includes documenting new equipment received from vendor. Updating asset database with purchase information and ownership changes. Stocking shelves with equipment.
• Use of manual pallet jack – training will be provided
• E-waste of old equipment. Remove asset tags, update asset database, dispose of asset in company provided containers.
• Responsible for taking equipment to other locations
• Inventory of used and new PC/laptop equipment
• Imaging of new or used laptops and PCs using provided procedures
• Responsible for general appearance of shipping and receiving room. Includes disposing of boxes, pallets and packaging and general cleanup.

QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma and/or GED Certificate
• Basic computer skills.
o Can recognize PC hardware (monitor, laptop, PC tower, etc.)
o Basic PC troubleshooting would be a plus.
o Basic use of Microsoft Office and Windows 7, 10
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance to transport materials to other facilities (mileage will be reimbursed)
• Attention to detail is critical
• Self-starter – Works with minimum supervision
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Packer/Handler

Overview
Local packaging company is in need of 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift packer/handlers for their molding department.

Job Responsibilities
Inspect product to insure quality
Complete assembly of product by installing gaskets in lids and handles in containers as required while keeping up with the production machines cycles
Flame containers and lids when required
Stack and pack product per instructions that vary with different customers and orders
Prepare proper product identification and/or packaging labels
Assist with material handling and other tasks as needed
Clean up oil from machines, sweep, mop, make boxes or other tasks assigned

Skills/Qualifications
Must be able to keep up with the fast paced production cycles
Position requires agility and consistent attention to detail
Able to tolerate constant repetition
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds safely
Must be able to identify alpha/numeric product codes
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holiday and overtime
Previous production experience would be a plus but is not required

1st shift = 7am-3pm
2nd shift = 3pm-11pm

Feeder/Packer

Overview
Local packaging company is in need of 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift feeder/packers for their print department.

Job Responsibilities
Inspect containers for quality defects before printing and after printing
Will sign and initial each proper tray pack label for shipping
Will work with lead printer to understand the customer order; type of product to be printed on, quantity of printed product and the quality criteria of the print to be placed on each piece
Understand the stack and quantity per tray, the direction of the product stack on the tray: openings up or down, handles turned in and proper labeling
Know how to properly place container onto the mandrel to avoid damaging the product or equipment
Will not allow containers to back up in the dryer

Skills/Qualifications

MIG Welder - Wilton, IA

OVERVIEW
Wilton, Iowa manufacturer of cold finished steel bars in Wilton is in need of MIG welders.

DESCRIPTION
Responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum and stainless steel parts using a MIG and/or TIG process. Also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by his or her supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification
Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
MIG and TIG weld steel, aluminum and stainless steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings
Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
Follow, create and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications
Assemble items as instructed by floor supervisor
Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities
Follow all company rules and policies
Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
Follow all safety rules and quality standards
Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
Prepare product for shipment
Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually (up to 60 pounds), or using a hoist
Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above

SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Experience with steel, aluminum and/or stainless steel required
Experience with MIG and TIG welding highly preferred
Experience with CNC press breaks, CNC folding machines and automatic saws highly preferred
Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds consistently required
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
Ability to identify and measure material
Ability to produce quality products consistently
Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form
Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges

WAGE
$12.50/hr

HOURS

A Local logistics company is seeking warehouse help related to repackaging, receipt, shipping, storage, and distribution. This position will also assist in loading, unloading, and move or store items by hand or equipment according to delivery, routing, or supervisor instructions.  Positions are 1st shift and Temp to Hire.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Count items received and verify them against packing lists, recording any discrepancies, or damage.
• Re-pack material or product
• Ability to read documents and/or follow a verbal instruction to determine the materials or products to be shipped and how the order is to be shipped.
• Lift heavy objects by hand/or by the use of a hand truck, gas or electric powered forklift, or other material handling equipment.
• Enter all information required on the shipping or receiving documents and/or appropriate forms relating to piece counts.
• Checks forklifts daily, prior to use, for any unsafe conditions.
• Load trucks with material and product ready for shipment. Unload trucks containing purchased material, product, and/or supplies.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, and attend training classes when required.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Mathematical skills-basic addition, subtraction, division, multiplication…etc.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished.
