OVERVIEW
RJK is now taking applications at a local manufacturer and marketer of corn-based products. Products including Maltodextrins, corn syrup solids, crude corn oil, beverage industrial and ethyl alcohol and starches for food grade, pharmaceuticals and industrial products.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process monitoring through computer based application
  • Manual labor consisting of shoveling, hosing, and cleaning process areas
  • Warehouse operations, such as forklift operations, palletizing through automated systems and manually
  • Truck loading
  • Some jobs may require the operation of motorized equipment such as skid steers, end loaders, dump trucks, and forklifts


SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Dependable and reliable
  • Be able to lift 40-60 pounds


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 6 months manufacturing experience


WORK HOURS/SHIFT

  • 12 hr days - 36/48 hr week rotations with 2 weeks day/night rotations
  • Full time with benefits

  • $22.65-$23.70

E&I Technician

Overview

E&I Technicians respond to all electrical and instrumentation work in the plant.  They work closely with the Production group to ensure electrical and control problems are isolated and repaired in an expedient manner.  Technicians respond to electrical/control breakdown calls, troubleshoot/repair 480VAC power distribution problems, and troubleshoot/repair issues with the different control system platforms.  This position is hourly and currently reports to the E&I Specialist.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Exemplify and ensure that safe work practices are followed at all times.
• Be a good representative the Maintenance Department in words and actions.
• Recognize all persons using maintenance services as "customers" and strive to efficiently and completely fulfill their needs.  Strive for high levels of quality in all work performed.
• Be innovative and proactive.  The status-quo is to be challenged before it is replicated.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Understand and comply with all plant rules and policies affecting work done by the E&I group.
• Understand and use proper PPE and following safe work practices
• The work done is in a plant environment, both inside and outside in all seasonal conditions.  Must be able to climb stairs, work from elevated platforms and lifts, and be able to lift 50-lbs without assistance.  Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Develop an understanding of plant processes to facilitate work involving process areas.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Acquire continuous education and training to provide up-to-date technical performance.
• Competently use basic computer software, including:
Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Sharepoint
• Able to understand, use, troubleshoot, and maintain process controls, including:
PLC’s (Allen-Bradley, Square D, Modicon Quantum).  This includes the ability to work with PLC ladder logic and function block programming.
Distributed Control Systems (Provox, Delta V)
• Able to use, troubleshoot, and maintain motor drives, including:
Motor Control Centers (Allen-Bradley, Cutler Hammer, Square D)
Allen-Bradley VFD’s (Powerflex 70, Power Flex 700, 1336 Plus)
Allen-Bradley Soft Starts (SMC series)
• Able to use basic analyzers, including:
Fluke Test equipment
Handheld HART tools
• Understand, troubleshoot, and repair three-phase power distribution systems and equipment.
• Understand, troubleshoot, and repair hard-wired control circuits.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair all types of process instrumentation and control components, including:
Flow Transmitters (magnetic, vortex and D/P)
Level Transmitters (pressure, Radar, ultrasonic)
Temperature transmitters.
• Understand and comply with the National Electric Code
• Must have the ability to learn new skills and adapt to new technologies as the needs arise

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High school diploma or GED

Maintenance Tech

 RJK currently hiring for Maintenance Technician for local grain processing company


Overview:

This position responds to all mechanical repair needs in the plant.  They work closely with the Production group to ensure mechanical problems are isolated and repaired in a safe and expedient manner.  Technicians respond to breakdown calls and work orders by troubleshooting and repairing the problems and perform regular preventative maintenance on a multitude of equipment types.  This position reports to Maintenance Department Superintendent / Plant Shift Superintendent.

Skills:
Must work well with all levels of the Company, acting in a professional manner.  Reliable / self motivated, requiring minimal supervision.  Must be able to communicate to all levels of the organization, whether it is for hourly technical assistance, technical recommendations, or cost justifications.  Effectively utilizes time and resources.

Job Requirements:
• Be knowledgeable about the process equipment plant-wide and the proper maintenance requirements of that equipment.
• Service equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty mechanical components.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems in the field.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of work performed on work orders.
• Be proactive in the mechanical/technical needs of equipment maintenance.
• Practice good safety procedures in all work performed.
• Follow plant policies, rules, and guidelines.
• Communicate observations to Maintenance and Production supervisors
• Ensure proper housekeeping and general clean-up practices during and after work completion.
• Be available to work various shifts and hours as business needs dictate.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist in making qualitative and quantitative analysis of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials for purposes, such as research and development of new products or processes, quality control, maintenance of environmental standards, and other work involving experimental, theoretical, or practical application of chemistry and related sciences.
  • Specifically, general lab samples in a manufacturing plant with grains and corn within the quality control department
