Summary: 
 
Will perform administrative and clerical duties to process loans from initial receipt to final entry in the loan database. Provides efficient and friendly service to customers regarding all aspects of consumer, commercial and Ag loans.
 
Duties & Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following:
  • Prepares loan documentation for consumer and commercial closing transactions…
  • Record applications for loan and credit, loan information, and disbursements of funds, using computers.
  • Verify and examine information and accuracy of loan application and closing documents.
  • Will review loan papers to ensure completeness, and complete transactions between loan establishment, borrowers, and sellers upon approval of loan. Verifies accuracy and completeness of data and documents for incoming direct loans and collection of required documentation.
  • Enters verified contracts into the loan database system.
  • Prepares and submits forms or documentation needed to make necessary corrections to incomplete or inaccurate data.
  • Prepares vouchers, settlement sheets, and general ledger entries.
  • Maintains complete loan portfolio records including vouchers, services, payoffs, corrections, and year-end interest reporting.
  • Utilizes - Credit reporting software; Desktop Underwriter; Lending software systems; Administer the LaserPro System (Compliance I)
  • Assist with other loan duties as assigned
  • Generate denial letters bankwide.
  • Other responsibilities and duties may be assigned.
 
Qualification Requirements: 
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Ability to research information - Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the bank.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

Hours/Pay:

Full time, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Pay depends on experience. 

 
Comments: 
 
Position requires occasional overtime and the ability to attend staff meetings before or after normal business hours. The applicant must successfully pass a formal employment screening process which will require a Background and Credit Screening check.
