OVERVIEW

Pipe insulating company in need of insulation installers in new building sites.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIE

• Install insulation around piping
• Make necessary adjustments for pipe fitting
• Measure, cut, fabricate insulation, and metal jackets using sharp knives, saws, tin snips, etc.
• Climb stairs, ladders and scaffolding
• Work off elevated lifts and/or extension ladders taller than 12' occasionally
• Work in a construction environment
• Work indoor and outdoor temperatures
• Work in confined spaces on occasion or as needed (tunnels, attics, building chases)

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with pipe insulation/craftsman trade
• Must be able to provide own basic tools (tape measure, sharp knife, razor knife-with retractable blade, channel lock type pliers, scissors, and tin snips
• Dependable and reliable
• Read and use tape measure along with basic math skills
• Listen and understand directions, then apply
• Be able to carry anywhere from 50-100lbs

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Wear hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, and gloves (provided by employer)
• Wear safety toed boots, long pants and minimum short sleeve shirt (provided by employee)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Experience preferred but will train

WORK HOURS/SHIFT

• Iowa City location: 1st shift M-TH (5:30 am – 4:30 pm) with possible over-time on Friday. Transportation is provided to and from the Muscatine pick up location to the work sites.
• Quad Cities location 1st shift M-F (7 am – 4 pm). Must provide own transportation to and from Quad Cities office.

WAGE

• $19-20/hr. depending on experience
