MACHINE OPERATOR- Bonaparte

Plastics Company in Bonaparte is seeking a 2nd and 3rd shift Machine Operator.  These are temp to hire positions!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Seek quality information and proper operating procedures from prior Operator five minutes before shift change and before breaks.
• Read press books daily on each job to stay current on proper operating procedures.
• Operate molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and granulators as instructed.
• Identify problems with parts, machinery, or mold, and immediately inform Inspector, Building Foreman, and/or Shift Supervisor.
• When machine is down, routinely perform cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

SKILL SETS REQUIRED
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Frequent lifting up to 45 lbs. may be required.
• Knowledgeable on use of hand tools.
• Able to effectively perform job responsibilities.

WORK HOURS/SHIFT
• Monday-Friday
• 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm and 3rd shift: 11pm-7am

WAGE/SALARY
• $10.15 per hour

MACHINE OPERATOR – BLOW MOLD

OVERVIEW
Long term assignment at a PREMIER manufacturing facility in Fairfield.     

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate blow-mold machines to ensure production of quality products and perform audits, weights, and quality checks.
• Adhere to quality control and to blow mold process procedure
• Make adjustments to meet product specifications
• Grind/trim excess materials from products
• Prepare & document daily production reports including rejects, regrind, and line efficiencies

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to stand for 8 hours
• Strong hand/eye coordination

WORK HOURS/SHIFT
• Training for all shifts will be 7:55AM to 4PM for two weeks
• 1st Shift – 11:55PM to 8AM
• 2nd shift – 7:55AM to 4PM
• 3rd shift – 3:55PM to Midnight

WAGE
• $12.50/hr training wage on days
• $13.50/hr for 3rd shift (evenings) and 1st (midnights)

Sand Utility Worker

OVERVIEW
Provide constant supply of molten metal for the sand foundry operation.  Pour molten metal into sand molds, and remove metal castings from molds and place on cart.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Following metal melting procedures and interpreting Quality Assurance spectrograph results, maintain a constant supply of molten aluminum for molders.
• Run Alu-Delta and specific gravity tests on the metal to insure correct modification and gas level.
• Pour molten metal into sand molds.
• Remove aluminum castings from their molds and place on cart.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Work involves standing for long periods of time, as well as lifting squatting and bending.
• Work involves lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Accident hazard can involve serious burns from splashing molten metal when pouring or ladling.
• Work environment contains heat, particularly in the summer months, and noise.

HOURS
6:00AM- 4:30PM,  Mon-Thurs
Or
5PM- 3:30AM, Sun-Thurs

WAGE
$13.00/Hr.

This a long term assignment with a great opportunity to be hired full time at a core-making service located in Sigourney.  Ideal candidate will be very safety conscious with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Remove castings from the furnace
• Set up Core Machine.
• Install and align core boxes and blow plates.
• Set timers, temperatures, pressures, and types of sand per core.
• Apply release spray to molds.
• Remove cores from molds while warm.
• Sort castings to appropriate area to cool
• Light sand rough product to achieve smooth edges
• Inspect product, assemble as needed.
• Package cores for shipping
• Clean work areas regularly.

• Regular and punctual attendance
