Plastics Company in Bonaparte is seeking a 2nd and 3rd shift Machine Operator. These are temp to hire positions!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Seek quality information and proper operating procedures from prior Operator five minutes before shift change and before breaks.
* Read press books daily on each job to stay current on proper operating procedures.
* Operate molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and granulators as instructed.
* Identify problems with parts, machinery, or mold, and immediately inform Inspector, Building Foreman, and/or Shift Supervisor.
* When machine is down, routinely perform cleaning and maintenance duties.
* Other duties as assigned.

SKILL SETS REQUIRED
* Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
* Frequent lifting up to 45 lbs. may be required.
* Knowledgeable on use of hand tools.
* Able to effectively perform job responsibilities.

WORK HOURS/SHIFT
* Monday-Friday
* 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm and 3rd shift: 11pm-7am

WAGE/SALARY
* $10.15 per hour

Maintenance Technician

OVERVIEW
This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity located at an industrial facility in Fairfield. Nelson’s is a modern 88000 square foot machine shop with over 60 CNC lathes and machining centers and over 150 manual machines. This position is responsible for plant, machine and lift truck maintenance and special projects throughout the shift, and ensures smooth and efficient production operation during the shift.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provides maintenance resource to the entire plant
* Utilizes equipment manuals, analytic skills and test equipment to identify which of the following is the root-cause for an equipment problem: Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and/or Pneumatic
* Disassemble and repair hydraulic and pneumatic valves and cylinders
* Assist in tooling changeovers as required
* Starts/Stops all equipment, identifies machine cycle and sequence of operation as required
* Performs daily maintenance on equipment, with limited support
* Uses hand tools, measurement devices (micrometers, calipers, etc.) and shop equipment to repair mechanical and hydraulic equipment
* Improves and maintains plant equipment
* Read hydraulic and pneumatic prints with demonstrated comprehension
* Performs troubleshooting of hydraulic and pneumatic components
* Monitor maintenance activities to minimize downtime
* Aid in rigging and moving machinery
* Use multimeter up to 600vac to troubleshoot electrical issues
* Other duties as assigned
* Operate lifts and material handling tools as needed.
* Operate fork truck and attachments
* Lift up to 60+ pounds

* Must be able to work Overtime as needed AM and or PM of shift and weekends if needed.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* High School Diploma/GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Three or more years as a maintenance/machinist in an industrial environment with three years electrical experience preferred

* 5AM – 3PM, MON-FRI, some weekends as needed

$16/hour
